Repost your listings
Bring a listing back to the top of the feed: what reposting costs and what it gains you, rewriting the text, photo sets, quotas by plan and automatic reposting.
A listing published three weeks ago is no longer seen by anyone: it has slid down the feed, and buyers look at what has just appeared. Reposting puts it back at the top.
What a repost does
Reposting removes the listing from Vinted and puts it live again. It becomes a recent listing once more, with its place in the feed and in searches.
One consequence to know before you start: the original listing disappears, along with its favourites and its views. That is the price of the operation, which is why reposting pays off on a listing that is no longer getting any attention, not on one that has just been viewed thirty times.
What you need to repost
Two conditions, and the screen tells you which one is missing before letting you start anything.
- The listing exists on Vinted. An item prepared in Pikmatic but never published has nothing to repost.
- The item has photos.
As with a publish, Chrome must be open with the extension active: it is your browser that talks to Vinted.
Start a repost
From your imported items, open the item and choose “Repost”. The “Repost item” window brings up the settings: the price, the photo set, and rewriting the text.
By default, the price is kept as it is. Many sellers take the opportunity to lower it a little: a listing that has not sold in three weeks is often a listing that is too expensive, not one that is badly placed.
You can select several items and repost them in one go. The chosen settings then apply to the whole selection, and at the end the screen tells you how many items were skipped for not meeting the two conditions.
Rewriting the text
The “AI rewriting of title + description” option has the AI write a new text for the same item: the same information, in different words.
This is useful for a listing you repost often: an identical text reposted five times ends up boring the same buyers, whereas a different angle can catch someone the first version missed.
Rewriting does not use an analysis credit: it counts towards the repost quota.
Review before sending
When you ask for a rewrite, nothing goes out before you have seen the result. The “Reposts” screen shows the original text and the rewritten text side by side, under the heading “Awaiting your review”.
- “Confirm” sends the repost straight away.
- “Edit” lets you touch up the suggested text.
- “Original text” puts your listing's text back in place of the suggestion, without sending anything.
- “Revert everything to original” also brings back the original photo when an enhanced photo had been selected. Nothing goes out either.
- “Cancel repost” stops everything.
If you do not respond
A countdown is shown on each preview. When it runs out, the repost goes out with the selected text and photo: the preview is there to let you step in, not to put an operation you asked for on hold indefinitely.
Photo sets
An item can have several photo sets: the same piece of clothing taken from other angles, on a hanger then worn, indoors then in daylight.
When you repost, the “Photo set” field lets you choose which one to use, or leave it on “Automatic (rotation)”: Pikmatic then picks the least-used set. Each set shows how many times it has already been used.
A listing reposted with other photos does not look like the previous one, and it is the simplest way to genuinely refresh it.
The photo preparation setting
The repost window offers a “Transformation mode”, with four levels. It controls how Pikmatic prepares your photos before sending them again.
The level suggested by default takes into account how many times the item has already been reposted, and suits the vast majority of cases. You do not need to touch it.
Two situations justify changing it. On an old listing reposted for the first time, the “Do not modify my photos” option sends your images back exactly as they are. Conversely, on a listing you repost often, going up a level makes them vary more from one repost to the next.
Check the result if you go up
At low levels, the preparation cannot be seen with the naked eye. At high levels, it can be: open the listing on Vinted after the first repost to judge the result before making a habit of it.
Follow a repost
The “Reposts” screen brings together what is pending, what is in progress and what is done. A repost goes through a few clear statuses: “Rewriting…”, “Preview”, “Pending”, “Executing”, then “Done” or “Failed”.
When it stays pending, the screen tells you why rather than leaving you to guess: the extension is closed, a Vinted check needs completing, the Vinted session needs reopening, or the queue simply has not reached it yet.
The item then keeps a label showing how many times it has been reposted.
How many reposts
The quota depends on your plan: 100 for the whole life of the account on the Free plan, then 300 a month on Starter, 1,000 on Pro and 3,000 on Business.
The Free plan's 100 reposts are not topped up: once used, they are gone. Quotas on paid plans reset at the start of each billing period.
The counter is shown in the repost window, along with your current plan. A repost cancelled before sending does not count.
Automatic reposting
With the Business plan, a listing can be reposted automatically, at regular intervals. You set the number of days between runs, and Pikmatic handles it without you having to come back to it.
Active schedules are listed under “Scheduled reposts”, with their interval, the date of the next run and the number of reposts already done. Each one can be paused, resumed or deleted.
A schedule pauses itself when it no longer has any reason to run, for example if the item is sold. You do not have to keep an eye on it: that is the whole point.
To schedule a listing's first publish rather than a repost, see Schedule your listings.
When a repost does not go through
The message shown tells you what happened, and most cases require no action on your part.
- The item was sold, reserved, hidden or deleted on Vinted: the repost is cancelled, which is the right behaviour.
- A required piece of information is missing for the category, usually the size: complete the item, then try again.
- The extension did not respond: check that Chrome is open, then try again.
The case not to leave hanging
Occasionally a listing is removed from Vinted but cannot be put back live. It is then not visible anywhere, and this is the only case where you really lose something by waiting.
Pikmatic keeps the planned text and photos, and offers to restore the listing in one click. Do it as soon as you see it.
Other blockers, such as the extension not being linked or publishing being paused, are covered in Troubleshooting.
