Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions people ask about Pikmatic: the extension, linking, publishing, reposting, AI analysis, credits, account and security.
Answers to the most frequently asked questions, gathered here on a single page. Your first steps are covered in detail in Quick start, and common blockers in Troubleshooting.
Getting started
- What is Pikmatic?
- Pikmatic is a SaaS tool that automates publishing listings on Vinted using artificial intelligence. It analyses your photos, fills in all fields, and publishes for you.
- How does Pikmatic work?
- Pikmatic works in 4 steps: 1. You install the Chrome extension and link it to your account (30 seconds, one time only) 2. You upload your item photos on the dashboard (this website) 3. Our AI analyzes the photos and fills in all fields (title, description, brand, price, etc.) 4. The Chrome extension publishes the listing directly on Vinted using your browser session The dashboard handles the intelligence. The extension handles the publishing.
- Why do I need a Chrome extension?
- Vinted doesn't offer an official way for an app to publish on your behalf. The extension acts on your behalf directly in Chrome, using your own cookies and IP address. To Vinted, it looks exactly like you're using the site yourself. This is the safest approach for your account.
- Can I use the dashboard on Firefox / Safari / my phone?
- Yes! The dashboard works on any browser or device. You only need Chrome for the extension itself. Once the extension is linked and Chrome is running, you can manage everything from any browser. Example: link the extension on Chrome, then use the dashboard on Firefox or your phone. Publishing still works because the extension runs independently in Chrome.
- Does Pikmatic work outside the US?
- Yes. Pikmatic supports 26 Vinted markets: the US, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and most other European countries, as well as the United Kingdom and Australia.
Extension & linking
- How do I link the extension?
- 1. Install the Pikmatic extension from the Chrome Web Store 2. Go to Settings > Extension in the dashboard 3. Click “Generate code”: you'll get an 8-character code valid for 5 minutes 4. Enter this code in the extension window 5. Done! The extension is now linked to your account
- Does Chrome need to stay open for publishing to work?
- Yes. The extension regularly checks our servers for pending publishes and runs them in Chrome. If Chrome is closed, publishes stay queued and will be processed automatically when you reopen Chrome. Nothing is lost, just delayed.
- What happens if my computer goes to sleep?
- Same as closing Chrome: publishing is paused and resumes automatically when your computer wakes up. The queue is kept, so nothing is lost.
- I linked the extension but publishing is still disabled?
- Make sure you're logged into the same account on both the dashboard and the extension. The link is tied to your user account, not to a browser. Try refreshing the dashboard page.
- How many Vinted accounts can I link to my Pikmatic account?
- It depends on your plan. Free and Starter allow 1 Vinted account. The Pro plan allows 2. The Business plan allows up to 3. A given Vinted account can only be linked to one Pikmatic account at a time: trying to link a Vinted account already linked elsewhere is rejected.
- How do I link a new Vinted account?
- It's automatic: log into Vinted with the desired account in the browser where the Pikmatic extension is installed and linked. The extension detects the active Vinted identity and pushes it to Pikmatic on its own, within about ten minutes; there is nothing else for you to do. The account then shows up in your dashboard (header switcher + the “My Vinted accounts” page). If the account doesn't show, check that you haven't reached your plan limit and that this Vinted account isn't already linked to a different Pikmatic account.
- How do I switch between my Vinted accounts in Pikmatic?
- The account switcher sits at the top-right of the app (left of your avatar). Click it to see all linked Vinted accounts and pick the one you want to work on. The selected account determines where the new items you create will be published. A “Manage my accounts” link in the dropdown takes you to the full settings page.
- What does the green “Active in a browser” badge mean?
- It indicates that the extension currently detects this Vinted account as being logged into a browser where Pikmatic is installed. This information updates on its own. It's especially useful when running several Chrome profiles (one per Vinted account): the badge tells you at a glance which account is reachable where, without having to switch profiles to check.
- Can I publish to several Vinted accounts at the same time?
- Yes, from the Pro plan up. The Pro plan allows 2 Vinted accounts in parallel. The Business plan allows up to 3. Each account is logged in inside its own browser (in practice: one Chrome profile per account, with the Pikmatic extension installed and linked in each). Vinted only allows one session per browser, but Chrome allows several profiles to run in parallel. On the Free and Starter plans, it is one Vinted account and one linked browser. Each profile handles publishing only for the Vinted account it's logged into: Pikmatic automatically sends each item to the right profile based on the detected Vinted account.
- How do I unlink a Vinted account, and what if I want to re-link it later?
- Go to “My Vinted accounts” (from the switcher or settings), click “Unlink” on the account, confirm. Unlinking is reversible without extra steps: as long as you stay logged into Vinted in the browser where the extension is installed, the account will be re-linked automatically, with nothing to do on your side, within about ten minutes. If you don't want it to come back, log out of Vinted in that browser after unlinking. Warning: unlinking erases the saved copy of this account's wardrobe and cancels its scheduled publishes and reposts. Re-linking does not bring them back. Note: unlinking is refused while publishes or reposts are pending or in progress on this account. If items are still attached to it, choose “Detach and unlink”: they stay in “Imported items”, with no Vinted account, and you can attach them to another account.
Publishing
- What's the difference between “Publish (draft)” and “Publish”?
- • Publish (draft): creates the listing on Vinted as a draft. You can review it on Vinted before making it live. • Publish: creates and publishes the listing immediately. It goes live on Vinted right away. We recommend using draft mode for your first few listings to verify everything looks correct.
- I see “Captcha detected”, what do I do?
- Vinted sometimes asks for a captcha verification. When this happens, Pikmatic automatically pauses your publishing. 1. Click “Resolve now” in the banner: Vinted opens in a new tab 2. Solve the captcha on Vinted, in your browser 3. Open the Pikmatic extension window and click “Resume” If you do nothing, the pause lifts on its own after an hour.
- A publish failed, will it retry?
- Only when nothing has been created on Vinted yet and the cause is temporary, for example a Vinted session that needs refreshing or a slowdown imposed by Vinted. The item then goes out again on its own as soon as the cause has cleared. In other cases, the failure is final: the error shows in the queue bar. Fix the item if needed, then restart the publish yourself. Exception: if a draft has already been created on Vinted, don't restart it, or the listing will be duplicated. Finish it on Vinted, then click “Mark as published”.
Reposts & scheduling
- How many reposts can I do per month?
- Reposts are included on every plan, including Free, with no extra credit cost. Your quota: 100 lifetime on the Free plan (never renews), then 300 per month with Starter, 1000 per month with Pro, 3000 per month with Business. The quota resets each billing cycle on paid plans.
- Can I schedule reposts in advance?
- Yes, on the Business plan. Choose a frequency (every 1 to 30 days): Pikmatic then reposts the listing automatically each time it falls due. To have them go out only at certain hours, set a time window in Settings > Reposts > Automatic scheduling. Chrome must still be open and the extension linked for the repost to execute.
- A scheduled repost failed, will it retry?
- It depends on the cause. If the run fails on our side or hits your quota, it is simply skipped: the schedule stays active and picks up again at the next due date. If the failure happens during the operation on Vinted, the schedule is paused and you receive an email. Check the listing, then click “Resume” (the ▶ button) on the schedule concerned.
- If the AI rewrites my listings, do I lose my original descriptions?
- No. Your original version is kept and locked in. Every repost is archived, and you can restore any version in a single click.
AI analysis
- How does the AI analysis work?
- Our AI-powered visual analysis system examines your photos to automatically identify the category, brand, size, color, condition, and suggest an optimal price. It also intelligently generates the title and description.
- How accurate is the AI?
- The AI identifies brands, categories, sizes, and conditions with good accuracy. It works best with clear, well-lit photos. Label photos (brand tags, care labels) significantly improve accuracy. Always review the AI suggestions before publishing: you can edit any field.
- Can I add context to improve the AI?
- Yes! During import, you can add context like gender, measurements, and notes. For example: “Women's size M, worn once, original price $75”. The AI uses this to generate more accurate descriptions and pricing.
- My photos are HEIC (iPhone), are they supported?
- Yes. The dashboard automatically converts HEIC files to JPEG directly in your browser before uploading. You'll see a brief “Converting…” message during the process. No action needed on your part.
- What is the Photo Studio for?
- The AI redoes your item's cover photo. Two styles are available, plus one option: • “Plain background”: only the background changes. The garment, its shape and the framing of your photo stay the same. • “Studio”: the photo is redone as if shot in a studio, crisp lighting, garment straight and centered. The presentation stays the same: flat, folded or hanging. If your photo cuts off the garment, only the background is changed, so nothing is made up. • “On a hanger”, an option of the Studio style: a wooden hanger is added. Offered for garments, except pants, jeans, skirts and shorts. The hanger is only added if the garment is on its own and fully visible; otherwise, the photo is enhanced without a hanger. You compare the before and after, then keep either the result or the original.
- How do I enhance a photo?
- 1. Open an item that hasn't been published yet. 2. Click the orange sparkle on its photo. 3. Choose the style and the background color, then click “Enhance”. It takes about thirty seconds. 4. Compare, then click “Use this photo” or “Keep the original”. The enhancement applies to the cover photo. Once the item is published, you can no longer enhance it.
- How much does it cost?
- You get 3 free photos after your first import. After that, buy packs from the “Photo Studio” page: • 30 photos for €4.99; • 100 photos for €14.99; • 300 photos for €39.99. It's a one-off payment, with no subscription, valid for 12 months, whatever your plan. Each enhancement uses 1 photo from your balance. This balance is separate from your AI credits. Straightening a photo doesn't use up any photos.
- The enhancement failed or the result isn't faithful. What should I do?
- If the enhancement fails, the photo is usually returned to your balance. Always check the text, labels, size and shape of the item on the proposed photo before publishing it: the AI may change a detail. If you're not happy with the result, click “Keep the original”. If Pikmatic shows “The label may have been changed” and you keep the original, the photo is returned to your balance. The same applies to reposts, if the item goes out with its original photo or if you cancel. Without this message, a rejected proposal is not returned.
- Can I edit the AI suggestions?
- Absolutely. You can edit all fields before publishing. The AI provides a base that you adjust to your preferences.
Credits & plans
- How many credits do I get per plan?
- Free: 10 credits, one-time (never renewed). Starter: 60 credits / month. Pro: 200 credits / month. Business: 600 credits / month. Credits on paid plans reset every month, including with the annual subscription. Unused credits do not roll over.
- What uses a credit?
- Analyzing one item with the AI costs 1 credit. Publishing or reposting an already-analyzed item does not consume credits. Reposts are included in your plan quota.
- Do unused credits roll over?
- No, credits on paid plans reset every month. Unused credits are lost (use-it-or-lose-it). The Free plan is the exception: its 10 one-time credits never expire but are never renewed either.
- What happens if I run out of credits?
- On a paid plan, new analyses are blocked until your credits reset at the start of the next month. On the Free plan, the 10 credits never top up: to analyze new items, you need to move to a paid plan. Reposts have their own separate quota (100 lifetime on Free, 300/month Starter, 1000/month Pro, 3000/month Business), independent from AI credits. You can upgrade your plan at any time from the dashboard to get a larger allowance immediately.
- How do referrals work?
- Share your link or code from Account > “Referrals”. The person you refer saves €10 on their first month. As soon as they subscribe, you earn a month of your plan, confirmed 14 days after their first payment and then deducted from your billing.
- I can't see my referral code.
- Referrals are open to accounts with a verified email address and a linked Vinted account. Your code appears as soon as both conditions are met.
- Where do I enter a referrer's code?
- When you sign up, or later in “Billing”, before your first payment. The €10 discount is then applied to your first payment.
- What are the conditions?
- • The free month is never worth more than the price of the referred person's plan. • No cash payout is possible. • The credit expires one year after you earn it. You get a reminder 30 days before. • If you don't have a subscription yet, the free months you've earned are applied automatically as soon as you subscribe. • A reward obtained through artificially created accounts may be canceled. Full details are in Clause 11 of the Sale Terms.
- How does billing work?
- We use Stripe for secure payments. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard.
Account & security
- Can I use Pikmatic on multiple Vinted accounts?
- Multi-account support starts with the Pro plan. The Pro plan allows 2 Vinted accounts, and as many linked browsers at the same time. The Business plan allows up to 3, with as many browsers. Each Vinted account needs its own Chrome profile with the extension installed and linked separately. The Free and Starter plans are limited to one Vinted account and one browser.
- How do I delete my data?
- Go to Settings > Data. There you can export your item records to a file (without the photos) or delete all your items. To also delete your account and all its data, click “Delete my account” in Settings > Profile: enter your password (or confirm with Google), then click the link sent to you by email, valid for one hour. These deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.
- How do I uninstall or stop Pikmatic?
- Remove the extension from chrome://extensions (right-click the Pikmatic icon, then “Remove from Chrome”), and/or cancel your subscription from Billing. Once you're logged out of Vinted in the browser, the extension does nothing anymore.
- How do I contact support?
- Click the chat bubble at the bottom right of the screen to write to the team directly, or email contact@pikmatic.com. We answer questions about your account, your listings, and billing.
- Does Pikmatic back up my Vinted wardrobe?
- Yes. All your active listings are imported and backed up, photos included, as a safety net for your shop.
Sales & shipping
- What is the “Sales” page for?
- It shows your real Vinted sales: amount, buyer, shipping and profit. You'll find your “Total sold”, your “Profit”, your “Average sale price” and your “Time to sell”, over 30 days, 3 months or since the start. Canceled or refunded sales aren't counted in the figures: they stay in the table, marked “Canceled”. The page is available on all plans.
- How do I enable sales tracking?
- 1. First turn on your wardrobe sync, from “Vinted listings”. 2. Open “Sales” and click “Enable sales tracking”. 3. Click “Retrieve my history”: Pikmatic retrieves your 200 most recent sales, in about ten minutes. You can then click “Retrieve more”, 200 sales at a time. No credits are used, on any plan. After that, your sales sync automatically every day. The “Sync now” button starts an update straight away, at most once every 15 minutes. Chrome must be open, with the extension connected to this Vinted account.
- How do I find out my real profit?
- Enter the purchase price of your items. Click “Add” on a sale, or select several sales and then “Enter purchase prices” to fill in a whole batch at once. The purchase price stays attached to the item: it's kept even if you repost it.
- I see “Sales tracking is coming soon”, or some sales are missing. Why?
- • “Sales tracking is coming soon”: your extension isn't up to date yet. It updates itself automatically. • A sale in another currency isn't included in the indicators. It's flagged below the figures. • The table shows at most the 2,000 most recent sales. The indicators, however, cover the whole period. • If you withdraw your consent, the copied sales are deleted from Pikmatic. The purchase prices saved on your items are kept.
- What is the “To ship” page for?
- It lists your sales to send and their shipping labels, and lets you print them all in a single file. Choose the “Print format”: “4×6 thermal”, “A4, 4 per page” or “Original A4”. Under each label, you can add the “Item title”, a “Code and summary”, or “Nothing”.
- Which plan do I need?
- The page is visible on all plans. To prepare and download labels in bulk, you need a Starter, Pro or Business plan. On the Free plan, your sales to ship remain visible, but you can't prepare or download their labels.
- How do I print my labels in bulk?
- 1. First enable sales tracking, in “Sales”. 2. In “To ship”, check the sales you want, then click “Prepare labels”. You can prepare up to 30 per batch. 3. Keep Chrome open, with the extension connected to this Vinted account. You can close the page while the labels are being prepared. 4. Click “Download”: you get a single PDF with up to 50 labels. Files are kept for 14 days at most. After that, the sale shows “File erased (14 days)”. You need an up-to-date extension.
- What do “To generate on Vinted”, “Vinted is still preparing it” and “No printing needed” mean?
- • “No printing needed”: this carrier doesn't use a paper label. Show the QR code from the Vinted app at the drop-off point. • “Vinted is still preparing it”: the label isn't ready on Vinted's side yet, usually 1 to 2 h after payment. • “To generate on Vinted”: Vinted hasn't created this label yet. Generate it from Vinted. • “To do on Vinted” with “Add a default shipping address on Vinted”: set a default shipping address in your Vinted account. • “A4 only for this carrier”: download it in “Original A4” format. • “Automatic cropping”: check the label before printing it. If the cropping is wrong, click “Is the cropping wrong?”.
- What does the “Statistics” page show?
- Your sales, the state of your wardrobe, and what Pikmatic did for you: items sold, sell-through, listings published, reposts, credits left and time saved. You choose the period: 24 h, 7 days or 30 days. Wardrobe figures appear once your wardrobe is synced.
- Why is the “Value sold” different from the total on the “Sales” page?
- The “Value sold” in Statistics is an estimate based on the prices shown on your listings. The “Total sold” on the “Sales” page shows the amounts actually paid. Click “See real amounts” to go there.
- What is reserved for the Business plan?
- With the Business plan, you unlock: • charts over time (sales, listings published per day, credit balance); • recommendations: “dormant” listings, prices to review, the brand that sells fastest; • performance by brand and by category; • wardrobe engagement (views and favorites). Recommendations require a synced wardrobe.
- How is “Time saved” calculated?
- It's an estimate: 2.5 minutes per action carried out by Pikmatic.
